The Orange Police Department on Tuesday, June 25, held a swearing-in ceremony for new probationary officer Carolyn Bailey, who graduated from the Connecticut Police Academy on Monday evening.

Bailey was raised in Hamden and is a graduate of Hamden High School.  She graduated Southern CT State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in English.  Carolyn comes from a law enforcement family, with father Joseph Liguori a retired inspector sergeant from the Department of Motor Vehicles, brother Joseph Liguori an officer with the Hamden Police Department, and husband Eric Bailey an officer with Yale University police.

Carolyn will participate in a field training program for approximately ten to twelve weeks, after which she will be assigned to the patrol division. Carolyn joins three other female police officers already part of the Orange department.
